music: CULTS

Bad Joan has a style crush on Madeline Follin from the band Cults.  BJ went to see Foster The People in concert at the Wiltern Theater the other night and got a nice surprise when Cults opened the show!  The band has a very vintage vibe in both their sound and appearance.  During the show Madeline wore a black eyelet mini dress and mary jane flats... and she definitely rocked!

If you don't already know the band here is a little taste; the video for their song "Abducted." It is definitely a fantastic song but Bad Joan's current favorite song on the album is "You Know What I Mean." So after you're done watching the video go to iTunes (or your favorite music spot) and listen to that song as well!


After the show Bad Joan got to go backstage and hang out. BJ chatted a bit with Madeline about her super long and fantastic hair; her secret is that she rarely cuts it, she only gets very minimal trims. Too bad BJ had just gotten her hair cut earlier that day, she could have used Madeline's advice a little sooner!  Oh well!

    Her style is really unique. I like the way she has her own sense of style, but it's still kind of trendy. Her style reflects her personality.
